Common Questions

What smart home systems do you install?

Control4, Crestron, and Savant for whole-home automation. Lutron (Caséta, RadioRA 3, HomeWorks QS) for lighting. Josh.ai for privacy-first voice control. We match the platform to your home size, lifestyle, and budget — not the other way around.

How much does residential smart home automation cost in Greater Boston?

Focused systems (a single Lutron lighting zone, a Sonos audio setup) start at $5,000–$15,000. Full Control4 or Crestron automation with lighting, audio, and security typically runs $30,000–$75,000. Comprehensive estate installations with HomeWorks lighting throughout run $75,000–$200,000+. Every project receives a fixed-fee proposal with itemized costs before any work begins.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Every project is installed by our own certified technicians. We do not subcontract any labor. This is how we maintain quality control from pre-wire through final programming and training.

How disruptive is a smart home retrofit installation?

For most retrofit projects, disruption is minimal. Lutron wireless systems require no new wiring in most homes. Control4 or Crestron automation typically requires 1–2 weeks of work, with rooms temporarily inaccessible during installation. We plan all work to minimize impact on your family's daily routine and clean up completely at the end of every workday.

What happens after installation?

We provide comprehensive training for every family member on every interface — touchscreens, keypads, and mobile apps. All systems include a 2-year labor warranty. We offer service plans for ongoing monitoring, updates, and priority support. Most clients reach out when they want to expand their system, not because something broke.
